Auto assign issue to distribution list

My team, marketing, is one of the many using Jira to track tickets. Whenever someone creates a ticket for the marketing project I would like it that that ticket is automatically assigned to an assignee "Marketing Unassigned". That user has my team's marketing@ email assigned to it so that distribution list receives an alert that a new ticket was created on our board. How do I do this?

Hi @Christina Kyriazi - if I'm understanding you correctly, what you want to do is:

  1. (if you haven't already) Create an account for your marketing team's email, and add them to your Jira project.
  2. Navigate to your Jira project, and select Project settings Details.
  3. Under Default Assignee, select the account you created in Step 1.
