Auto Assigning

Hi All

Not sure if tis was asked before:

When splitting an issue, the summary and estimates for the newly created split are available.  Would it be possible to also include a field for the Assignee on that view issue or auto assigning it to the person who is doing the splitting?

  I have never done it and would need to test it but I would think you could do it on the workflow in a post function on issue create using scriptrunner.  I would also think that you could accomplish it with an automation.  Both solutions require an app and are not delivered functionality.
