When Creating a ticket the Assignee field does not come up. If I edit after creation it is.
Ive checked the following based on other questions on the forum and all appears as it should, im not sure what else to try:
1. The Assignee field is not present on the Create Screen: Navigate to Project Settings > Screen > Create Screen and check id the field id present on that screen or not.
2. The Assignee field is hidden in the Field Configuration: Navigate to Project Setting > Issues > Field Configuration and click configuration. Search for the filed and make sure it's not hidden.
3. Permission Issue: Navigate to Project Settings > Permission and check if you have the Assign Issue permission.
Hi @Amanda Gray
I created a support case on your behalf over in https://getsupport.atlassian.com/servicedesk/customer/portal/23/JST-1074351
Someone from our JSM support team should be better able to assist here.
Andy

Hi @Amanda Gray
If your Issue Create Screen has a lot of Custom fields, few fields may get hidden during the create issue pop-up
https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/unable-to-find-the-field-while-creating-a-jira-issue-even-though-the-field-is-added-to-the-create-issue-screen-1375862792.html, you can use the "Find your field" option to verify if the field is present of has been hidden due to some other setting:

Hi @Amanda Gray ,
When you click on the Configure Fields, what options do you see there?
In the "Configure Fields" pop-up, select the "Custom Fields" option to see if this has the Assignee field Unchecked:

Hi @Amanda Gray
From your previous message it seems that you're using a JSM Project. For that you can follow these steps:
If in case these steps don't work too, I've tagged the Atlassian team on this thread and they should get back to this question in a few days.

Thank you @Jehan Bhathena when I do these steps, Assignee appears to already be added so that is still not working.
