We have multiple squads. Occassionally a squad member from another squad will support my squad by working on a task from a story on my squads Jira board. However I'm unable to assign the task to the that person as they are a member of a different squad, not my squad (so aren't assigned to my squad in Jira).
What is best practice for 'assigning' the supporting squad member to the task without making them a member of my squad in Jira?

Community moderators have prevented the ability to post new answers.
They don't necessary need to be in your squad but they need to be part of your project's permission. They need to be added to a project role that would have at least browse project, assignable user, and edit permission in order to work the ticket.
As as they have the right permissions, they should be able to work on the ticket.
