Any way to have filter specific view and columns?

Praveen Raj November 30, 2020

Is it possible to use list view and list columns specific to certain filters?

Eg:
1. For a filter without assignee, it will be useful to view the assignee in the filtered results list. But when the saved filter is specific to a user, the assignee field is unnecessary.

2. A filter for updating issues statuses will be more accessible with Details view, but one where there is only need for listing the due tasks, List view is more useful.

Is there an existing method to assign these settings to saved filters?

Pravan,

After saving the filter, on the right hand of the page, you should see a button called "Columns". Click on that, and then select "Filter" tab. Here, you should be able to change the columns just for this filter.

Oh... This is great. Thanks.

Any idea about setting the List/Details view specific to the filters?

@Praveen Raj As of now Jira doesn't support saving columns and views to filter.

There is a ticket for this - https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-30714

I think you should log you observation and need to this ticket so this can be expedited.

Thanks, but the solution for filter specific columns, in the above answer works. I just tested it.

The 'List/Details view for the filters' issue is still unaddressed in the ticket though.
