I have set a filter view with Assignee and Reporter against each JIRA. After Exporting to CSV format, i expected to download in the same format as it appears on Filter view for me. But instead, employee IDs are appeared in downloaded CSV file. Can any one help me in setting up Names instead of IDs in downloaded CSV format.
From my experience, exporting issues from JIRA into CSV will export userIDs instead of the name.
Think of it this way, the userID is the unique identifier for the user which is needed if imported back or into another JIRA instance. This way, import and export will be consistent.
Hi Swapna,
sukkeong has got the answer right here. Please take a look at the suggestion ticket here that this is currently how CSV export works:
Names are not unique thus it's a logical design to use IDs in the export, for future operations of the particular CSV file.

The link is in reference to Server version. Is there a way to export a user friendly username from Jira Cloud?

I have not attempted this of late but my expectations are that, for GDPR reasons, the export is by ID.
