Admin Permissions

I recently attempted to log in as a user as I have many times in the past, but I no longer have permission. I am a Site Admin and User Access Admin. How do I troubleshoot this?

Thank you for reaching out :) 

Could you please confirm if the user you are trying to log in as is an org admin? If so then it won't allow you to log in as the org admin.

You should be able to log in as other users.

if you using Centralized user management content:

You can’t use this feature to:

  • log in as a user who has the same role as you or higher (meaning, if you're an organization admin, you can’t log in as another organization admin)

  • log in as an invited user who hasn’t accessed a product within your organization yet

  • log in to your own user account to access a product

  • log in to Jira Service Management portal-only customer accounts

If you using Original user management content

 

You can’t use this feature to:

  • log in as a user who has the same role as you or higher (meaning, if you're an site admin, you can’t log in as another site admin)

  • log in as an invited user who hasn’t accessed your site yet

  • log in to your own user account to access a product

  • log in to Jira Service Management portal-only customer accounts

This does not resolve the issue. I do not have any on the "Can't" conditions.

I have the same problem and I do not have any on the "Can't" conditions! Has it been fixed for you since??

No! I am in the same boat as you. It is super frustrating not being able to do this anymore...
