Adding custom Field context based on a value of another field

I would like to present in a Select List(single choice) a different list of values, the relevant list to present is based on a selection of another custom field in the same screen

If the value of custom field xxx is yyy, then present list A in custom filled SL
If the value of custom field xxx is zzz, then present list B in custom filled SL

Wouldn’t you just use the Cascading select field?
