Adding a second drop down list based on existing data without cascading lists

I have a custom (non cascading) drop down list already for an issuetype, say 'Story'

For one of the values in that drop down list, (where selected) I would like for another drop down list to appear without the need to create a new cascading custom list and then manually moving the data over.

Can this be done with some Logic or automation at all?

You would need the ScriptRunner Behaviours app to accomplish that.
