Hi
I feel like this question has been asked multiple times before but I can't seem to find an an answer for my current situation, apologies if I have missed it somewhere!
We have a Jira cloud instance with multiple projects.
My goal is to have story points on bugs for a single project.
My understanding is that I need to add this under the Custom field configuration for story points e.g.
secure/admin/ConfigureCustomField!default.jspa?customFieldId=<fieldId>
Within these settings there is an option For Choose applicable context with options for Global context and Apply to issues under selected projects.
Global context is pre selected.
When I select "Bug" as an issue type (making sure the already selected item remain selected) and then select Apply to issues under selected projects and select my project, the story point field then disappears from the story work item type in another project.
Does anyone now why this is and how I can get around it?
Thanks
You need to create a new context for your requirement.
Leave the global context as is.
There is an option called "add new custom field context" on the screen.
