Guys, I would like some help. In Jira, there is a setting to restrict who can view a comment added to an item. What is the step-by-step configuration?
What are you specifically looking to configure? What is the need?
It would appear this is currently configured to allow comments to be limited by Project Role - and whilst you can expand this to Groups - that's the extent of these permissions natively.
To edit between Project Roles and Groups/Roles...
Note: A user must be assigned that Project Role within the Project, or be a member of the Group, for it to appear for them in this list.

Thanks, Stephen, it was exactly what I needed. I managed to solve it.

Hi @Dalvan Marques ,
as a Jira Admin you can toggle between Groups & Project Roles and Project Roles only. Go to General Configuration
https://<YOURSITE>.atlassian.net/jira/settings/system/general-configuration
Edit Settings > "Comment visibility"
This lets you restrict a certain comment either to just one group or one project role.
Hope that helps.
The official Jira documentation is very brief in describing this feature:
