we are suffering from the same symptom.
the JIRAKB suggested in the previous answer doesn't help. neither does the referenced issue STRM-2140.
the current symptom is not about "one or more activity sources were slow to respond". it is not about any timeout thresholds.
instead, it is about:
The activity source '' was slow to respond and is not included.
please note the two single quotes with nothing in between.
it points into the direction of some "source" being incorrectly configured - as it appears empty.
PS: i'm referring to the "activity stream" in a user's profile.
