When i try to register/login the Jira plugin with my outlook, i am getting instantly the above error when i try to login over my Microsoft Login.
I couldnt find a solution in google so i try my luck here.
1. Want to connect a 2nd Jira Site to my outlook plugin.
2. Loggin in with my MS SSO credentials
3. --> instant error
A user on our site had the same issue, and we managed to get it working with the following steps.
* In the local Outlook (old version) go to Manage Add-Ins
* You will be redirected to the online portal (Web Outlook)
* Install the addon
* There you have to go to view issue once for a mail, and then log in to Atlassian.
* After that the local Outlook synchronizes the add-ins from the cloud, as it seems. You only have to configure the whole thing correctly once in the cloud, then it also works locally.
I hope this helps.
@Manuel Niederkofler thank you very much, worked like a charm for us :) - @Philipp Schmidt BSC have you tested it on your side?

I have the same issue here: "AADSTS90015: Requested query string is too long."
The uri is actually 3808 characters long, maybe this is too much for Outlooks browser plugin?
Weird thing is that when "Creating" or "Send to issue" I am logged in and it works but "View Issue" wants me to login and I can't with SSO because of the error above.

Hi! We have exactly the same issue. Everyone who tries to use the jira add in can't login. Please help us with a solution.

I tried logging in through Outlook online but received the same error message.
I took the URL from this error message page and pasted it into a text editor.
The URL was very long, starting with: https://login.microsoftonline.com/common/ ...
I looked for &state= and deleted it and all the text after it.
I copied this much shorter URL into my browser and this allowed me to log into Atlassian.
After I logged in, the plugin worked.

Had the same issue on my side, a simple resolution that worked for me which is not too different from @Manuel Niederkofler suggestion. I followed the following steps:
1. Login into relevant Outlook for web account
2. Create issue from an email in Outlook for web, this will prompt for sign-in which does not error out.
3. Go back to Outlook client on windows and retry creating an issue, the connection should now work.

Could you please try to use another way of logging in to Atlassian? For example, login with an email address. Does this one work for you?

I attempted this at the start, but I neglected to include it initially. I made another attempt, but the error persists whether you use your email or opt for SSO.
