Step-by-step guide
Login to your account on Slack.
Login to your JIRA account as well and use the link forJira Cloud for Slack connectoronAtlassian Marketplaceand add the Integration.
From your Slack workspace, call up the@Integration Teambotby going to the Channelyou want.
The below message will appear
Click invite them to join to begin the process
Do a connect with the below command on Slack
/jira connect <your-instance-name>.atlassian.net
It will request to verify your JIRA account
Click on theverifylink to login to the Jira account required to confirm.
If the connection exist, it should load up your Jira Integration and ask you to select the required Project thenAddto the Channel on Slack.
Once that is done, you can call up an issue by using the below command on the Slack Channel
/jira connect, ISSUEKEY-123
Result above confirms it has been successfully added, subsequent notifications should appear on Slack for issues or tickets created/commented on that Project.
