Follow us along the Jira-Jungle-Journey / A fun way to promote your Cloud migration

It's been a couple of months since we migrated our internal Jira to Cloud. Last year we already migrated Confluence and I had some fun with introducting new features, best practices and other helpful info in the "Confluence Cloud Corner". Before I came up with the name for that I already had the perfect title for something similar around Jira: The Jira Jungle Journey.

Rather than simply providing boring documentation or trainings, I wanted to make transitioning to Cloud fun. Sure - it's not for everybody, but I'd like to think, that in 10 years time, someone will have a great laugh when they find these Blog posts.

In the hopes to provide some inspo or at least generate some laughs here in the Community, I'll be sharing the Jira-Jungle-Journey Posts every week (until I run out), starting today.

Note: We're a German speaking company, so the posts are in German orginially. Some jokes may not translate well. Also, the posts contained internal references, which I try to edit before posting.

A Journey through the Jira Jungle (JJJ #1)

Good day, Hello and Namaste. I will be your traveling companion for the next weeks, months... or even years? and welcome you aboard Atlassian Airlines. Thank you for choosing the Jira Jungle Journey. (entirely voluntarily, of course)

The exact itinerary is not yet revealed, but some of you already got a sneak peak. You can look forward to stops such as:

• Team-managed projects → A trip to the islands of bliss
• Calendar and timeline → Displaying the stops on our journey in chronological order
• Business projects → Holiday photos as project background and other practical features
• Inline editing → Known and new places where this is now possible
• and much more.

So, put your tables up, your seats upright, your machetes in the overhead bins and don't forget to buckle up. Next stop: Jira-Jungle.
