5 reasons for using Jira and 5 reasons for using Trello

Last week a customer asked me about the main differences between Jira and Trello, these are my 5 five reasons for using Jira and 5 reasons for using Trello.

Jira

  • Best for enterprise teams that need to cross data
  • You can have it behind your firewall and the apps are for the whole tool not for every board.
  • Default integration with Dev tools on server/data-center
  • Dashboards and reports by default
  • It's perfect for Scrum teams

Trello

  • It’s perfect to start using an app
  • Not for heavy processes, but perfect for sharing
  • It's SaaS
  • It's an awesome tool for sharing tasks with not IT teams
  • Performance is always good

For me, booth tools are totally different. You can use one or another, or you can use both, better together!

What are your reasons?

You can host sensitive data on your own server.

It can be used only internal.
