I am new to Jira Work Management.
When the task is closed it still remain on the Kanban board in a swim lane. How do close tasks get removed off the kanban board?
Also, once the ticket is closed and removed from the board, where is the task stored for historic review?
I believe that the closed items stay on the board for 10-14 days until after they are closed.
Based on the fact that you are saying you are new to Work Management and assuming you are using that type of project you would need to either switch to list view and enable done items to be viewable, or go to the issues view and search by done.
But if by any chance you are using a software project you would go into reports and look at the sprint reports or under issues and sort by status.
Hello @Taunna Ward
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
I can confirm that with a Business/Work Management board, issues transitioned to a green-colored status (i.e. Done) will automatically be hidden from the board when they have been in that status for 14 consecutive days. This is not a configurable option.
If you want to "manually" hide them you can use the Filter option to filter the display to show issues in all the other status except Done.
The board is just a way to interact with the issues that exist. Even when the board has been filtered or issues hidden they continue to exist. You can see them by selecting the Issues option and by going to the Filters menu, selecting View All Issues, and searching for them.
