Is there a way to schedule comments in Jira Work Management?

Edited

I have several jobs that would greatly benefit from the ability to schedule comments in advance.

  • Scheduling asking update on tasks
  • Avoiding sending messages during weekend or when there is no urgency

Our two primary other communication tool (Slack, Gmail) both have the ability to schedule comments for some time, however, I didn't find any way to do this in Jira Work Management.

Is it possible? If not, is it part of your roadmap?

Hi @Jonathan Gall

Welcome to the community!

For your first bullet point you can use Jira automation: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Marketplace-Apps-Integrations/Jira-Automation-Video-Tutorial-on-how-to-send-customized-emails/ba-p/1861508

For the second one, you can use a condition to determine that it only sends on the workdays.

I hope this helps.

Cheers,

Fabian

Hi @Fabian Lim. First of all, thank you for taking the time replying. I took the time to watch the video tutorial, and this doesn't address my need.

What I am after is the ability to schedule a comment reply in an existing ticket. The video you sent is about automating sending emails based on a trigger.
