Hi there,
I have set up an automation in Jira Work Management. Attached are screenshots of the automation and settings.
I want that when I create a ticket in Project A, it is automatically copied/cloned to Project B. I receive the following error:
"Can not create issue in project/issue type 10001/10008"
I have already checked the permissions; I am an admin in both projects. The issue types are also available. There are no mandatory fields.
Thank you in advance for reading and perhaps for helping.
Philipp
Hello @Philipp Ruiter
What are the Types of project A and B? That information is available from the Type column of the View All Projects page under the Projects menu. Do either one or both say "team managed"?
If so, then the issue types in a Team Managed project are unique to that project. Even if another project has issue types with the exact same names, they are considered different issue types. In the Clone action you will have to explicitly select the type of issue to create rather saying "same issue type".
If both projects are Company Managed projects, you need to make sure that they use the same issue types. With Company Managed projects the issue types are defined globally, so a "Story" issue type in one Company Managed project is the same issue type as "Story" in another Company Managed project.
