Hello Atlassian Community!
I’m excited to kick off a discussion about how various teams within organizations utilize the same apps in different ways. It's fascinating to see how a single tool can serve diverse needs depending on the team’s objectives and workflows.
For instance, I’ve seen teams use Jira not just for tracking bugs but also for managing marketing campaigns, HR processes, and product development—each with its unique approach.
I’d love to hear your experiences:
Let’s come together to share insights and learn from one another! Your contributions can inspire others to maximize their use of Atlassian tools in creative ways. Looking forward to your thoughts!
Best,
Annu
We're drinking our own champagne with Time in Status and Time Metrics Tracker. These apps enable us to track time spent on tasks, set KPIs, and gain insights into workflow efficiency.
In the marketing department, we are using Time in Status for monitoring campaign progress and the time spent in each task status (such as planning, drafting, review, and publishing).
Another tool is Time Metrics Tracker, which is perfect for monitoring lead time and resolution time for our marketing campaigns.
A newly released tool that I've personally tried is the Mentions Dashboard for Jira , and it’s already proving to be super helpful. It tracks all comments and mentions across issues, making it easy for us to stay on top of team communication and respond to feedback promptly.
Eager to hear how other teams are using apps to drive their results!
Hi All,
I would recommend our all in one app, which we use extensively in our projects, Agile Tools
Below are the main features of the app:
Issue Hierarchy :- Create/View roll up for hierarchy (up to 10 levels), for standard Jira hierarchy. Epic -> User Story -> Subtask or Issue Links parent child relationship. Sum up your Epic’s Time Spent, Original Estimate, Time Remaining, and %age Complete. Edit all key Jira fields on the hierarchy screen.
Time in Status :- More than 20+ Time in Status report types to track issues and identify bottlenecks.
Worklogs Reports :- Track time spent by resources with multiple filters / category / grouping features
Timesheets :- View/Enter your time spent for multiple days
Thanks

Hi Annu!
This is a great topic to explore! I totally agree that it's fascinating to see how teams can adapt the one tool to fit their unique workflows.
Right now, our team is using the TeamBoard TimePlanner app for Jira. It integrates really well and it’s great for addressing the different needs of our HR and Marketing teams.
For instance, the HR team uses it to manage employee profiles, track leave and vacations, and keep an eye on costs. Meanwhile, the Marketing team loves it for staying organized with their daily and monthly tasks, plus it really helps them manage their workload.
