Hi Sandhya - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

For a Classic Software Project, you can go to Project Settings then click on Issue Types in the left hand menu.

From there, click on Actions and select Add issue types

Then add your new issue type and save. At that point the new issue type should be available for the project.

Hi Sandhya,

If you have created a standard software project (not a next-gen one) you'll be able to change it from here :

https://<your-domain>.atlassian.net/plugins/servlet/project-config/<your-project-key>/issuetypes

For the next-gen projects is even easier. You will just need to go to Project settings > Issue types and add those you need.

Best regards,
Velizar
