about migrating company managed project to team managed project

I read all this artcle, but have some questions.

1. If i migrate the company-managed project to team-managed project, does the company-managed project still exist in ordinary condition so that i can go back when there's some problem?

2. I'm confusing with the word, 'existing issue' that you wrote.
Does it include completed issue, or just ongoing status issue?

Thanks for your advice.

Hi @Hoyeon Shin ,

welcome to the Atlassian Community.

What is suggested in the provided article:

  • create a new target project
  • move every issue from the original (source) project to the newly created target project

To your questions:

  1. If you move all the issues to the newly created target project, the original project will still exist, but it will be empty. In general you can go back, but there's a chance you will loose same issue data, because team-managed projects and company-managed projects are technically quite different.
  2. "existing issue" - every issue in the original (source) project - no matter which status it has
