Workload by assignee report does not show story points correctly.

We've set up our project to use a scrum board.  In the backlog view, when clicking the three-dot menu ("View summary of assigned work"), it opens up the "Workload by assignee" report.  The story points column is zero.  We have assigned story points correctly to our tasks and stories that make up the sprint. However, I can't figure out why this column still displays 0s for story points.

Anyone know why this reports always display 0s for story points next to the user's name?  I've attached a screenshot

Hello Sam,

I was trying to reproduce the issue that you reported but didn't had luck.

To further investigate it, I've opened a support ticket for you and will continue to work on it on the the following support ticket: JST-400192

Once we identify what caused the story points to not showing under the Workload by assignee we'll update here with the steps to solve this issue.

Best regards,

Douglas Braun

Updating as we were able to solve your case, the issue happened because in your instance you had two custom fields for Story Points, one the Jira default field, and another user created.

Jira will always use the default story point field to provide the Workload by assignee but you were not using the Jira default custom field created, so this report will never use this custom field.

Hi Douglas,

I believe we have the same issue that is reported by Sam above in that we are using the standard Story Point Estimate field that can't be removed from the Custom Fields settings.  We previously had a custom field for Story Points that has been deleted and I am fairly certain the only Story Point field left is the built in one which we are using to assign story points to our backlog items, yet we still see 0's in the Workload by Assignee summary in the active backlog.  Any thoughts on how to fix this?

Thanks,

John
