Why won't JIRA open issues when clicked on a board

This is a new issue and appears to be related to a new change which offers to move "To do" tasks from a board to the back log.

When I load our board I see an offer "Move your issues?" (with the option to move all "To do" issues to the backlog). If I leave this pop-up alone I am able to click on issues and have the usual pop-up giving the full description and options for that issues. If I select either option, afterwards clicking an issue does nothing: the description is not brought up.

How can we fix this? (our whole team is experiencing this)

Bottom line is you should open a support ticket with Atlassian.
