Why does my Version Release Date keep getting reset to an earlier date?

It seems like after starting every new sprint, the Version Release Date automatically resets to an earlier date. I have to reset it manually to my planned Release Date so the Version Report will stay somewhat on track.
What should I look for that would trigger this to happen?
