I performed a backup of our production instance but when I go to import the project into our test environment, the project I'm wanting to import is not listed.  Even when using the Project Configuration plugin to export an individual project, the project in question is not showing up on the list of projects that I'm able to export.  Even when I list all the available projects to export, the project I'm wanting to export is not listed.  Is there a flag that is preventing me to exporting this particular project?

Hi @Ngoc Bui,

There is no flag/whatsoever in Jira to prevent a project to be in the XML backup:

  1. Are you sure when the backup was generated, the project exists in your Jira instance?
  2. Were there any changes to the project? Project name changed or the project key changed?
  3. You can manually open the entities.xml file and search for the project key or the name to check if the data is inside the XML backup file.
