Why 2 projects link sprint name and sprint id?

Natnicha Satsuphap May 17, 2022

For Example

Team A - On Sprint > sprint name is A Sprint 5
Team B - On Sprint > sprint name is B Sprint 6

But when I create new sprint Team B, it name is A Sprint 6. It's should name B Sprint 7. and If I create new sprint Team A, it name is B Sprint 7. It's should name A Sprint 6.

If I rename sprint name Team A, Team B's name will be changed follow Team A too.

Note : Team A ever used Team B board.

Hi Natnicha,

It sounds like you have mutliple sprints appearing across different boards.  These are actually the same sprint.  When you rename a sprint on one board and it renames another sprint by the same name in a different board, that's actually the same sprint being shown in more than one board.  Please review Sprints appearing on multiple boards in Jira server.  I realize that KB is made for Jira Server, and you're using Jira Cloud, but the concepts are largely the same.

Since sprints are not bound solely to a single project or board, they can contain issues from various projects.
