What is the Project Category available in jira?

Hi, 

I was learning about the project details which helps in the board configuration. I came across about Project  Category.
What project category defines and how can we get to know in both type of managed projects.

Hi @Vandana Mandal ,

Jira administrators can create project categories. You can use categories in advanced search, filters, reports, and more.

For example:

category = software AND type = story

This will give you all Stories from all your Software projects.
