What are the pros and cons of enabling parallel sprints in jira ?

What are the pros and cons of enabling parallel sprints in jira ? I have a aboard in jira configured for 5 different projects and this board has 2 teams working on it but only one team can start the sprint for the other it says- '"Can be planned but not started until the completion of above active sprint".

Will enabling parallel sprint option work here? Will this effect all the existing sprints of the jira instance ?

Hello,

Yes I think it will work. You can prepare and start multiple sprints.

Then when you go to your board, you'll have a drop down that'll allow you to select the sprint you want to see which may sometimes be annoying but definitely better than having to manage 2 teams in a single board.
