Version Reports Kanban

As version reports don't work with Kanban projects are people using anything else they've found useful to track progress towards a version release for Kanban teams?

Personally really like to version report and we use it for our scrum teams but haven't found a good alternative for the kanban teams

Thanks but thats not really addressing my question. I'm comfortable with managing versions what I'd like is a nice way to report back on how we are progressing against that release.
