Is there a way to create an automation rule to send email to the members of a Project role? or must a Global group must be created? In other words, I have a project with various project roles. When an issue ticket transitions to a different status, for example, I would like to create an automation rule that will email just the members of the project role. Is this possible, or must I create a global group with the project role members?
Thanks
There are powerful apps for improved emailing like this one:
It can send emails based on roles.
Thank you Aron, I was trying to have to incur a cost. However, I will definitely keep this app in mind.

I don't think you can email project role users, but you could change the workflow to fire a custom event and then change your notification scheme to alert project roles when that event is fired.
Does that make sense?
Thanks,
Kian

Hi Kian,
Thank you. This truly makes sense. I Know I can fire off an email via groups, but I did not think about a notification scheme, may be worth my while to explore this as well.
Thank you
