User stories assigned to epic but not showing in the backlog on the Agile Planning Board

DeNae Leverentz April 20, 2014

A number of user stories were created and linked to an epic. None of those stories appear in the Backlog on the Agile Planning Board for the project. When viewing a list of all issues for the project, the user stories are visible and are appropriately linked to the epic.

We are still running JIRA 5.2, and I'm not honestly sure how to figure out which version of JIRA Agile we have.

I'm not sure why this fixed it, but running a re-index caused all the issues to appear in the board.

How do you run a re-index -sounds like a syst admin task??

Hi, DeNae.

One of the best ways to approach this issue is to double check on the board filter that is currently in use. It should be something like the following (by default):

  • project = "<Project_name" ORDER BY Rank ASC

Can you double check on that first?

I confess I'm still new to Jira. How do I verify this?
