Upload CSV to link Issues to a Release

Hi

I'm looking to see if its possible to upload a CSV that will link all of the issues to a Release.

We are manually adding them in the linked issues from the release but this can take a long time when you have 100+ issues.

Has anyone had any experience with this area - the import CSV seems to be about adding issues rather than linking.

Welcome to the community.

How are you currently manually "linking" the issues to a Release? Typically this is done by selecting the Release/Version in a Version Picker field like Fix Version/s.

If that is what you are doing manually, then yes, this can be done with a CSV import. 

The import would have to be executed by a Jira Admin through the External System Import option in order to update existing issues.

The imported data would have to include the issue key and summary for each issue you want to update as well as the Release/Version value you want to add.
