Unable to create new categories in Jira Work Management

I used to be able to create new categories in Jira Work Management. However, just recently, the app does not seem to respond when I type in a new category and click Create from the drop-down/context menu. Is this a bug?

I suggested the person who saw the issue contact Atlassian Support about it, but I don't know if they did do that.
