Transversing Issues

So, I learned the term transversing when you want to pull a field value from a linked object in a database

Example:

I have an Issue type that I report on, in that issue is a linked issue type.  In my report I see the linked issue ID. I want to also pull the Name of the linked issue into my report.  Is that possible in JQL?

To transverse the objects to pull a linked issues filed value.

Thanks- I assume no.
