Hi everyone!
Could you help me. I see the situation Done to Done in the transitions. How is it possible? Why there can be a transition between the same statuses? When my task is in one status, I can only change it to another. But I see situations that I can't explain.
Hi @Natalie
So it is feasible to have a self-transition that goes from and to the same status.
This could be done for example, to force the use of a post function that updates a particular field, or force users to fill out fields on a transition screen (rather than edit them directly).
If these transitions are carried out, then it shows in the ticket audit as you're seeing there.
Here's an article that talks a little bit about self-transitions as well: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-articles/Jira-Workflow-Transition-Types/ba-p/1715591
I can't comment on exactly what the use case is for yourself, but I hope that provides some context!
