Hi Pavle,
You need to update the workflow to add a post function on the transition to Done to set the Resolution field.
1. Go to Settings > Issues > Workflow
2. Find your workflow and click Edit
3. Find the transition to Done and click on it.
4. In the pop-up, click on Post Functions
5. Click Add post function
6. Click Update issue Field
7. Select Resolution in Issue Field dropdown
8. Select Done in Field value dropdown.
9. Click Add
10. Publish the workflow.
This will not update the issues that are already Done. You will need to retroactively update those. You can follow this thread for instructions:
Good Luck!
It's not a popup - it's at the bottom of the page. Click on the "Post Functions" tab. Here's a screenshot:

Make sure you have the resolution post function in place https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/jira-issues-need-a-resolution-826873869.html
The second problem is that you now have a bunch of tickets without the resolution dates (it doesn't work retroactively).
If you need to fix historical data and not skew your reporting, consider looking at our free addon (Quantify) that has a special "resolution checker" tool. Because we deal with things like throughput and other Kanban metrics we have the data to fix this.
