Tempo REST API - Plan vs Allocation

Edited
Hi everybody,

I have a superimportant, but basic question regarding the REST API of the APP Tempo Planner (Planner by Tempo).
What is the difference between a plan and an allocation?
We extensivly use the REST API for our customer, we have developped scripts, and now we are testing them. The concept is still not clear to me.
The official documentation is even more confusing:
______
"User doc versus REST API terminology:
  • User doc uses the term Plan Item and REST API uses the term Allocation.
  • User doc uses the term Work Item and REST API uses the term Plan Item."
_______
I cannot find the phrase "Work Item" in the User doc, and I am quite sure it does not mean Worklog...
If you could clarify the concept of Allocation/Plan it would really help a lot!

Thank you!
Very warm regards,
Michael
