Setting up JIRA MySQL Database on linux

Hi, 

i am setting up JIRA software on a Linux machine, ive installed and setup the database on another Linux machine as well.

based on the guide , i am unable to locate the section stated on step 4 and 5 in any of the files that were stated

Instruction 4 and 5 are for Windows - you are on Linux :-)

Oh.. so i could skip those steps and restart mysql?

Yup - skip'em . And continue.

Also incase you miss anything , you can always run queries to fix them in the database - as long as the server is installed well.
