Scrum backlog to point to issues only in specific status

Is it possible for the scrum backlog to show issues present in only one status and ignoring the rest?

For more context, we have a project where the team would like to see only those issues in status "Ready for Work", in the backlog. Their reasoning is that the other statuses will show up in the sprint and need not be present in the backlog.

I went through the docs here and it doesn't look like its possible but I was wondering if there was a way to hack it?

The short answer is no, it is not possible. The board is associated with a filter, and you cannot set a filter that only applies to the backlog and then have a different one for the active sprint.

Thank you, that's what I thought too!
