Using WBS Gantt chart, I am trying to import a .mpp file. Seems to work for a simple project, but a larger one gives me this error. Any ideas ?image.pnge following error

Hello Patrick

Thank you for bringing this behavior to our attention and creating this Community Question.

There could be two reasons why your upload is failing:

  1. The file is larger than 6MB and may generate an error. Which in this case, we recommend reducing the file size before importing by splitting tasks in different imports, for example.
  2. If you are running MS Project version 2204 (Build 15128.20178) or higher, we have found an issue that may prevent WBS Gantt-Chart imports to work properly. If that is the case, rolling back MS Project to version 2204 (Build 15028.20228) and re-saving the mpp file may work around this problem.
  • Perform this workaround at your own risk.

    1 Open MS Project.

2 Disable automatic updates from Account → Office Updates.

3 Run the command prompt as administrator.

    4 Execute the following command.

5 Execute the following command to roll back Office to version 15028-20228

6 Wait for rollback to complete.

7 Go to Account → About Project and check that the version has been rolled back to 15028-20228.

8 Open the mpp file that cannot be imported correctly and save it as a separate file with a name.

9 Run the import using the newly saved mpp file.

We are currently working in a bugfix for this. However, at the moment, we can't set an ETA for the bug fix since it will depend on the team's backlog and analysis of the issue's complexity.
