Timesheets permissions: Team Leader able to see *'s team timesheets, in any project, and nothing mor

Hi everybody,

my company is using ClockWork for time tracking. We can already set "vertical" permissions, as in restricting the access to the timesheets of a certaing project, allowing only the project manager for example to see al the times logged.

What we'd need, but is sadly not provided by ClockWork at the time, is to set "horizontal" permissions, meaning that for example a team leader can see his own team timesheets, logged in any project, but no timesheet of anybody else outside his team.

Anybody would know how to workaround or improve Jira permissions options to make this happen? Thanks

Hello John,

Analyzing the Scenario you provided, I believe the best thing to do in this case would be to create sub-tasks on your Help Desk Projects that are related to the tickets in the Security Project.

If you only need your Help Desk team to log their work,  you use the Time Tracking feature to Log their time in the Sub-task issues:

Logging time on issues

However, if you need your Agents to access information from both Security and Help Desk tickets, you would have to add them as participants.

Please, let me know if this information and the documentation help, John.

If you have further questions about it, please let us know more details of your scenario so we can better understand and give you more tips about it. :)
