Can I create a new issue type in a company managed project?

I want to create a new issue type as per my requirements. Similar to a team-managed project, can we do it in a company managed project?

This problem has been asked before.  I would recommend checking out these two community threads:

I believe that both of these are actually using Scriptrunner in order to restrict the specific group values that can be entered into this field.  It is possible that there might be other plugins for jira that can also achieve the same kind of customization here.  I hope this helps.
