When you archive a project, can you reuse the project key? For example, if we have a project named 'Technical Operation 2023 Q4' with the key 'TO' and we archive it, can we then create 'Technical Operation 2024 Q1' with the same key 'TO'? Thanks.
Hi @Roxsanne ~ previous replies are accurate. My question would be: why would you want to create new projects based on quarterly work? Why not use Epics (or releases) to track that so all Tech Ops work is tracked within the one project?

Hi @Roxsanne ,
You cannot reuse the Project key if the Project is archived.
Archived project issues can still be searched and thus they existing key cannot be reused.
An old answer that might help for reference : https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/Is-there-now-way-to-reuse-a-Project-Key-on-a-new-project/qaq-p/1073771#M342641
