Priority Automation

I am looking at creating a global automation and would appreciate some help with it.

This is the automation I am trying to work on:

When an issue is created, and it is linked to an Epic link, The issue should have the same priority as the Epic.

The rule should include "If the Epic priority value changes then all the tickets in that Epic should have the same priority"

Hi @ola ogunsola

First thing, what is your Jira Cloud license level: free, standard, premium, or enterprise?

Next, this automation use case would require three rules:

  1. one triggered on issue created,
  2. another when the epic link changes for an issue, and
  3. another when the priority changes in an epic

Finally, I recommend trying to create these rules yourself, and if you have problems to ask the community for help.  Learning to create and maintain rules can require experimentation.  To get you started on creating your rules, please review this documentation and examples:

Kind regards,
