Prefill Test on create (X-ray)

As a tester, I would like to create an issue type Test, that is of Generic type (X-ray issue), that has prefilled field named Definition.
Field Definition exists after issue has been created, but it's not visible on the Create screen.
I tried to do it with Automation Rules within Jira, but it seems this fields has to be visible on the Create screen for Automation Rule to work.

How can I manage to do that?

Optional question:
Is there another way of prefilling test definition in test cases of generic type in some way?

Thank you kindly for possible answers/solutions.

Hi @Marcin Łukaszewski

yes the automation actions need the fields on the create screen.

Did you consider to try an API call? Not quite sure if this needs the create screen scheme too but would give it a shot (calling a web request action in your automation rule).

Furthermore if you have scriptrunner in place this could also be done with scriptrunner.

Best
Stefan
