Pie chart shows duplicate values

Hi,

When I create a pie chart based on status (in dashboard), I get the same status 2 times. eg: If my statuses are Open, Closed, In Progress, Resolved etc, Open comes 2 times. But I would expect the open status to come only once with the aggregate value.

This is a known problem that occurs particularly when using Next-gen projects (https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-70750). I am not aware of any way to merge the segments together using the built-in reports.

However, this was one of the use cases we had in mind when developing Custom Charts for Jira. With Custom Charts you can merge multiple statuses together and rename them directly in the editor, as well as selecting the colors you want. Here's a side-by-side comparison:

As Tom mentions, currently, there's no way to have those values automatically merged. Your filter has more than one project, and one of those projects is a next-gen project (or by their new name "team-managed" projects). You could separate that filter and have more than one pie chart to display the results, although this is not always a viable solution.

We also provide a commercial app called Dashboard Hub for Jira, which allows you to create dashboards to report your metrics, create custom charts, share them with external users, etc
