Original Estimate and Remaining Estimate from sub-tasks in Scrum backlog

Hello all,

could someone explain why I cannot see sum up of Original Estimate from Sub-tasks on parent Story in Scrum board backlog but I can see sum up of Remaining Estimate from Sub-tasks when board Estimation is configured for Estimation Statistic > Original Time Estimate and Time Tracking > Remaining Estimate and Time Spent?

So question is why I see Remaining Estimate from Sub-tasks? It doesn't make sense in case that I cannot see Original Estimate from Sub-tasks

Thanks in advance

Regards
Petr

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

It's because sub-tasks are not sprint items.  Any estimate on them is not a sprint estimate, so the report ignores the estimate.

Hello Nic,

I know about that. My question is why in that case I can see Remaining estimate from Sub-tasks in backlog summary. See my screenshot. It is summary of Remaining Estimate from Sub-tasks which belong to Stories. So I cannot see Original Estimate from Sub-tasks but can see Remaining Estimate from Sub-tasks.
