We have spent several days trying to setup Jira on Oracle Cloud. When an Oracle instance is first created, we can access the 2nd page of the Jira setup process (database setup page) but as Jira is install as a service, the instance needs to be rebooted after installing the Oracle JDBC driver, it then throws the error 'oops - an error has occurred' preventing us from reaching the second page of the Jira setup again.
We would deeply appreciate any help in identifying this issue as we are keen to setup and upgrade beyond our starter licence. Thank you so so so much in advance.
We *think* this may be resolved for now.
There appears to be an error in the documentation as it recommends using the latest Oracle JDBC driver but we found the version before resolved the issue.
I don't think that's a supported platform. But it might well work if you unpack and configure Jira manually
