Not receiving notifications from JIRA

I have had this issue since the start of the year and it is getting very annoying so that is why I made this ticket.

I am not getting any mails from Jira about updates or changes in the ticket, Everyone else at my company gets those properly. And I am pretty sure nothing is wrong with config except one thing which I can't fix.

On the email page of my Atlassian account no email is displayed and I can't change it to any email. I just get the error "We could not save your email change. Please try again". (see attachment)

There is an email connected to my account under profile and I also use that email to login. It might be related to the fact that my account was merged when bitbucket and jira accounts were merged.  That something got stuck at that point. Also my bitbucket notifications still work.

I made a mistake and created this answer with the attachment instead of adding it to the ticket. If someone could delete it I would be grateful.
